School

It's been a long time, but as I was listening to the twins have a very intense discussion about school, I thought it was time to update about this new life adventure. All of the children are now in school full-time and mommy has not gone back to teaching yet, so I am all alone. I am lonely and sad during the day and realize how much I truly do enjoy being home with my children and have daily adventures with them. I LOVE to see their adorable faces after school, but boy, are they crabby, which makes it tough on this mommy. I am glad that I am able to get them to sit down and snuggle with me after school, which I can't seem to get enough of. I am looking forward to teaching again on September 8th!

All three of the kiddos seem to enjoy school, but the boys would prefer being home. Darcy on the other hand, LOVES it. Tonight I heard Drew and Darcy discussing school.

Darcy-You better practice reading so you can read at school like me.

Drew- I don't like school and I don't want to read.

Darcy-Well, if you don't read than you can't get smarter.

Drew-I don't care about being smart.

Darcy- Just practice Drew, it takes practice, practice, practice. You just need to read the Bob books(early reading series) first, they are easy to read.

Drew-Bobble books?

Darcy- No Drew, Bob, B-O-B...see, I know how to spell it.

Drew- I don't like bobble.

Darcy- I am so glad that I am a skilled reader and even very skilled at coloring.

Oh my, what a difference we have here!

Eat My Dust!

Ashton has such a mind of his own. He is so different from his siblings and it is hard to find things that he truly enjoys doing, but I think we nailed it. Grandpa and Grandma bought too many Go-Karts and now Grandpa made a track out at the storage units that is the ultimate track for these go-karts and Ashton is in heaven behind the wheel with his foot on the petal! He is such an amazing driver and scares the "poo" out of me, but is so happy being a boy out on the track. To see him smile is worth all the stomach flutters when he flies around a corner. The helmet is coming and I will feel better when it is on his head. When I was riding with him the other day, he flew in front of me and said, "Eat my dust", and that I did. Yuck!

Cousins

With two brothers, it is so sweet to watch Darcy play with her cousin, Eva. I look forward to the tea parties, dress shopping and all the fun that goes along with having little girls. God has blessed our family with two very sweet and beautiful girls.

Is this Water?

Drew and Darcy were taking a bath tonight and as I put clothes away, I was listening to them talk.

Drew-"Is this water, it is really slippery?"

Darcy-"Yes, look, it is water."

Drew-"Wow, it feels soft, we keep squirting all the soft water in the bathtub."

Darcy-"Yes, we are soft."

I walked in to find that they had squirted an entire bottle of baby oil in the bathtub. I'm sure I will slip and fall during my morning shower. ;)
