What's That?

I am so proud of our very inquisitive daughter, but I do admit, she can be annoying in a funny sort of way. For the past month or so she has taken much interest in knowing what everything around her is and LOVES asking us. She goes around the house pointing and saying, "Mommy/Daddy, what's that?" We then answer and she continues to point and ask about different things. This phrase is heard the minute she wakes up as she points to her radio. The funniest thing about this, is that she knows the names of pretty much everything she asks about, she just likes to play the game. If I stop and say, "Darcy, what is it?" she will answer without a problem.

Now, this "game" can be a bit annoying when we are driving in the van and she says over and OVER again, "Mommy/Daddy, what's that?" Of course we usually have no idea what she is talking about, so we just answer with whatever we see at the moment and she is content with that. She is probably thinking, 'you idiot, that is not a sign, it is a crane!'

I do adore our little loves and love how much they love one another. I love that the twins call each other by name and Darcy usually calls Drew, "brother" and I love that Ashton is the world's BEST brother and friend to Darcy and Drew.

We are blessed and it is as simple as that.

Chocolate

I remember when I was a little girl thinking how crazy and gross my mother was when she would eat chocolate for breakfast. Well, I am officially crazy and gross. My wonderful husband brought home some very yummy champagne cakes the other night and I just finished one off with my coffee. My coffee, oh, that is another story. My mom never drank coffee, nor did my dad, but I LOVE my coffee and that little chocolate cake was perfect with my coffee. My coffee is now brewed in a BUNN coffee pot, which we splurged on last week and I am very happy with our purchase. My coffee now tastes clean and smooth instead of dirty.

Oh, life is good at 7AM with my one little early riser, the rest sound asleep, my coffee(brewed from a BUNN), chocolate and my laptop. Thank goodness I don't have to leave my home to work.

Check back soon...I will be posting pics of my newest creation...TUTUS!!!!

Something Tastey.

We ran through a drive through on our way home from the Science Center today(I packed a nice healthy lunch, but of course forgot something for myself and I was starving) and Ashton said that he wanted a chocolate milk. The man working at Taco Johns said, "I'm sorry we only have white milk." After asking Asher if white was okay, he said in a very serious tone.
"No, I need something with taste."

After laughing, the nice gentleman said that he would run to the gas station which was attached to the Taco Johns and get Ashton a chocolate milk if we gave him a couple bucks ans so we did. Now that's customer service and the bean burrito was pretty tastey too. :) So, Ashton got his chocolate tastey milk and mommy's blood sugar level got back on track and we were all happy.

God Bless

Oh yes, the Science Center was a blast too! You have got to go see the Grossology area.

Doing Something Right

At our house, we just finished making our "Thankful Tree", an idea from my Family Fun magazine. We headed down to the trail and did some serious searching for the perfect branch to make our tree from. We were successful and came home with a beautiful bare branch to hang our paper leaves from. The leaves all have things that we are thankful for written on them and Ashton came up with all of them so far. I hope to add more throughout the month of November. As we began, I said to Ashton. "So, what are you thankful for?" Ashton did not hesitate and said, "God." Wow, how amazing! I am so proud of him. He then continued to amaze me as he started to help me spell God and was able to figure out all of the letters. He also helped me spell Dad and Mom.

Yes, we are doing something right.
